How do I install my Remote Monitoring Unit when it arrives?

If you do not have a Service Technician on staff don't worry, this product was designed to be easily installed. We package the system with the wiring diagram for the specific RTU that you have purchased. A step by step instructional guide for setup of the web portal is also included. If your RTU is a unit with an onboard web server and our web portal access is not purchased , we will have instructions on setting up your system.

Yes, Monitoring Solutions will install your monitoring system for you. When you purchase your system, ask about installation and what charges will apply.

What if I don't want the wireless connectivity but still want web portal access to see all my equipment on one list, can I still get web portal access?

Yes, all of our systems are specially design to access our M2M (Machine to Machine) web-portal system.  If you do not wish to use our web-portal, our remote monitoring units can also be used as standalone systems with some our units having onboard web severs or if you have a building management system for larger store chains you can call us to get more information on integration with specific building management systems.

Is there a discount for a package deal if I buy a large quantity?

Yes, if a large quantity of monitors are ordered we will be able to adjust the total cost of your order. Please contact us to find out more.

Do you have to cut any wires or drill any holes into my equipment to install your system?

Depending on the scope of your project will determine what will be involved in installing your system. Typically, our system attaches to your system and does not integrate into the normal operation. The design of this system is to provide you, the customer, a cost effective means to monitor your equipment without the risk of interfering with factory wiring or design. Relays or sensors may need to be installed but it depends on your project and equipment.

Can we install the monitoring system ourselves if we have no electrical skills?

Typically, our systems are purchased and installed by our installation professionals. Installation charges would apply. Many companies have on staff maintenance electricians that would have no problem installing our monitoring system. Our company's position is to recommend a certified electrician install your system. Due to the risk of high voltage contact, we do not recommend someone without knowledge of electrical systems do any installation of our monitoring systems..

What is the lead time on the monitoring system?

Our system will be shipped to you within one business day. If you require our team to install your system, you will be provided with an installation date once we know the scope of your project.

Are there expensive software updates I have to keep purchasing?

No. That is what is unique about our product. Our web portal is the only updates that need to be made. We make all the updates and you see them when you log on. No extra equipment no extra software.

Once the monitor is installed, how long before it starts notifying me of any problems.

Immediately. Once the power is on, the RTU will sends a message indicating "power is on" and "all systems are normal".
